Dubrovnik is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The narrow, shady streets and ancient buildings that are the backdrop to many a scene from ‘Game of Thrones’ also provide a cinematic backdrop to a thriving local market. A walk around the top of the city wall provides a stunning vision of orange roofs set against an azure sea. But brightly colored balloons floating over the city were a jewel in the crown.
