Pete Foley is an artist, scientist and traveler. As a child growing up in London, he won multiple awards for his art, but turned down a scholarship to attend art school at the early age of 16 years old to pursue music, playing in a number of marginally successful bands in the UK during the the1980's.
He then turned his attention to science, obtaining a PhD in chemistry, before moving to the US and taking an interest in Psychology. He published several academic papers in evolutionary psychology, and in the the related fields of behavioral economics and visual science, and by applying insights from psychology to the creative process, is recognized as one of the top innovation bloggers in the world. He also has over 100 granted or published patents to his name.
In the last few years he has been pulling together the strings of a varied and diverse life by creating paintings that draw from his travel experiences and photographs, and that also leverage his understanding of composition and color theory derived from his work in visual science and perceptual neuroscience. He now lives in Las Vegas with his wife and guitars, and paints daily.
